The image confirms what we learned from previous leaks, showing a circular finger scanner mounted below a raised camera lens. On the left-hand side sits a dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus module. As we have already noted, the new Nexus 5 will be priced at less than US$400, but will not deliver camera performance as good as the LG G4.
Specs for the Nexus 5X include a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB memory options, 12.7-megapixel camera and 2,700 mAh battery.
Design elements seen in previous leaks include a circular, protruding rear camera, dual LED flash, laser auto-focus module, circular fingerprint sensor and only Nexus branding – apparently LG’s logo isn’t found on the device.
The Nexus 5x is expected to be released in late September, together with a second Google Nexus phone, the slightly bigger Huawei Nexus 6.
