This year’s iPhone launch week is over and with the launch of iPhone 6s and 6s plus,Apple has left millions with the biggest Tech decision of the year. Which one to choose from these two top models? So lets have a quick look at some of the features so you can decide for yourself, which one suits you better.
This year’s model look just like its predecessors so you can forget about walking around flaunting your new iPhone in hope that the crowd would notice your new shiny iPhone 6s ,that won’t likely be the case. But if you are really keen on geeting crowds attention then your best bet is to pick up the new Rose Gold color option.
These new iPhones are crazy fast. Inside you’ll find Apple’s latest A9 processor and 2GB of RAM and the latest ioS version. Which may sound like less than some other phones, but Apple’s RAM management is absolutely phenomenal. Benchmarks show very promising results and overall, performance alone may be enough incentive to upgrade if speed is what you desire. Everything is very smooth and apps run like a champ with the new processor. That said, last year’s iPhone 6 is still a fast phone, and happens to be cheaper now. As for size, the iPhone 6s Plus is much better when it comes to playing games, watching videos, browsing the web, and pretty much anything else you’d expect out of a larger screen.
you can check the review video below:
You get to choose from 2 sizes. The iPhone 6s comes with a 4.7-inch display, 1334 x 750 resolution and 326 ppi, and then there’s the iPhone 6s Plus with a 5.5-inch display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and 401 ppi. Both displays are super crispy.Every millimeter of these phones is beautifully machined, every port precisely carved out and the materials are top notch
By far the most discussed aspect of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are their new 3D Touch displays. SO what exactly is this much talked about 3D touch?? it’s a pressure sensitive layer behind the displays of both new iPhones which recognises two pressure levels beyond a normal screen tap. Apple dubs them ‘Peek and Pop’. You also have the ability to 3D Touch the keyboard when typing. With a soft press, you can use the keyboard as a trackpad to move the cursor around the screen, and with a hard press you can easily select text from a line.
Deep pressing on the camera icon gives shortcuts to selfie, video and slow mo modes, similarly the Mail icon can jump to Inbox, VIP, search or a new message. The Safari icon shortcuts to your Reading List, Bookmarks, a Private or New tab, and the Photos icon shortcuts to Most Recent, Favourites, One Year Ago and Search and there are many more. It’s a great feature.
Interestingly 3D Touch isn’t the first time a phone maker has made a pressure sensitive phone screen (BlackBerry did it with the Storm back in 2008), but it is by far the best realised.
you can have a look at the newly added 3d feature here:
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus both feature an all new 12-megapixel still camera which also shoots up to 4K video, but you’ll only get optical image stabilization on the iPhone 6s Plus.12MP might not sound like a lot, but it means that the shutter speed is faster than ever, the clarity looks crystal clear on the larger 5.5-inch screen and the overall photography standard from the iPhone is improved. The new front-facing flash, which really just takes advantage of the display to provide extra light for selfies, is also pretty awesome.
The new camera also shoots higher resolution Slo-Mo video at 120 frames per second in 1080p but Apple’s photos are now flatter in color, so you’ll need to edit them to make them look as good as the pictures Samsung’s cameras snap without processing.

Touch ID & Live Photos
This new feature allows you to take a normal photo and bring it to life (with audio and 3 seconds of surrounding low-res, low-frame-rate video) by using 3D Touch.
The iPhone 6 Plus had a decent battery life thanks to the larger frame allowing Apple to pack in more mAh, but it still wasn’t market leading. While battery life hasn’t been claimed yet it should be a lot longer thanks to that new chip. You may struggle to get a full day from iPhone 6s and the 6s plus may certainly last a day and more but then again, you juat can’t ignore the fact ,how big it is.
The iPhone 6s Plus and the iPhone 6s don’t support any form of quick charging but most high-end Android phones can juice you up to about 50 percent in 30 minutes, and Windows 10 devices will do the same. Apple is lagging here, and it needs to change that.
The new iPhone’s are obviously going to command a higher price, and it’s up to you whether the 3D Touch and upgraded camera is enough to keep you from buying last year’s cheaper model, but apart from being so similar in design this feels like quite an upgrade from Apple.
